According to the latest This Week at Bungie blog post, the fireteam of six to complete “Last Wish” before anyone else and officially receive the honor of “World First” will not only be able to make prideful boasts about the feat, but also the developer will give real-world trophies for each teammate to commemorate the accomplishment. Although Bungie didn’t explicitly state as much, an image shared in the post strongly suggested that the winning fireteam will receive personalized Destiny 2 championship belts.

While this is definitely a fantastic way to boost the competitive spirit of Destiny 2 players around the globe and incentivize them to try and become the first to beat “Last Wish”, some have wondered if Bungie intends to acknowledge the fireteams who were “World First” for past raids. Interestingly enough, Bungie Community Manager David “DeeJ” Dague confirmed that those who earned the status in the first blind run of normal mode for previous raids–Vault of Glass included–will get the reward as well.

All things considered, now that there’s more on the line than simple bragging rights, it will be interesting to see which fireteam turns up the heat in order to claim the “World First” trophy for “Last Wish”. Of course, not everyone will be able to take part, as the raid’s recommended power level for completion is quite high. Plus, a lot of Guardians will need to grind pretty hard just to hit its barrier of entry. With this being the case, Destiny 2 fans should expect to see an intense level of skill out of certain fireteams.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
