Paladins were originally exclusive to the Alliance in World of Warcraft until the release of The Burning Crusade, which is when Blood Elves were introduced with the formerly inaccessible class. Many World of Warcraft fans have become Horde Paladins since this change, and Blood Elf Paladins are able to unlock the Blood Knight’s Dedication armor set with the new patch. Other main World of Warcraft races that have similar heritage armor sets include Dwarves, Goblins, Gnomes, Tauren, and Worgen, with all of them being strong Transmogrification options.

The World of Warcraft Twitter account recently teased the Blood Knight armor set with a video showing a Blood Elf Paladin slowly progressing in armor tiers to reach the coveted Blood Knight’s Dedication armor set. This armor is mostly red and purple with green highlights, and it offers intricate detail from the helmet to the boots, with the video zooming in to show the smaller pieces. This Blood Knight armor fittingly looks like it could be dropped in one of the several Burning Crusade end game raids while maintaining a unique feel to itself, which may demand some World of Warcraft players unlock it.
World of Warcraft fans with Blood Elf Paladins may unlock the Blood Knight’s Dedication armor set by completing a questline introduced with patch 9.2.5 called Ensemble: Blood Knight’s Dedication. This World of Warcraft questline takes Blood Elf Paladins to Bastion, Quel’thalas, and the Dead Scar near Silvermoon City as they defend the important strongholds from a Scourge invasion. On top of being rewarded with the Blood Knight’s Dedication armor set, Blood Elf Paladins will also get the Green Hawkstrider mount, which was also added with update 9.2.5.
Some World of Warcraft fans have suggested that Activision Blizzard is doing recolors of previous armor sets with the Blood Knight’s Dedication set, but others have expressed enthusiasm for the Blood Elf exclusive gear. World of Warcraft fans that are unhappy with the Blood Knight’s Dedication Cloak will be able to change it to a cape, drape, or mantle, which offers players some choice in the set. World of Warcraft continues to get armor sets dedicated to races and allied races, but the Blood Knight’s Dedication is an interesting case, serving as a combination of race and class getting something unique.
World of Warcraft is available now for Mac and PC.
