Returning Transmog Helms in World of Warcraft

Prime Gaming will be offering three different cosmetic helms for World of Warcraft players to claim. These helms are known as The Jewel of the Firelord, The Hood of Hungering Darkness, and The Crown of Eternal Winter. Each is unique and features some cool aesthetics, though right now players can only claim The Jewel of the Firelord. The other two will be available starting later in July and August.

These helms were introduced to the World of Warcraft in-game shop back in 2013 for $15 each. In 2018, Blizzard collected all three into the “See You Later Bundle” alongside three companions and three mounts. That bundle was purchasable for only a month before all those cosmetics became unobtainable. Players who had purchased them originally could still use the goods, but new players were not able to gain access to them. That changes with the reintroduction of the helms via Prime Gaming, and the other items in the See You Later Bundle could follow suit.

How Players Can Get Their Hands on World of Warcraft’s Prime Gaming Items

World of Warcraft players who want to gain access to these three helms can do so easily. If a player already has access to Prime Gaming, they just have to link their Battle.net account. Players who do not have Prime Gaming can subscribe to Prime or use the 30-day free trial. The game will not notify players that they have obtained the helm, instead it will just show up in the appearance menu. They will then be able to head over to any transmog vendor and add the fiery helm to their outfit.

Subscribers are able to claim The Jewel of the Firelord until July 26, so there is not a huge rush. On July 27, The Hood of Hungering Darkness will become obtainable through August 23. Then on August 24, Players can claim The Crown of Eternal Winter until September 20. Prior release patterns notwithstanding, this may be the last chance to get these three retired cosmetic helms, so players may want to head over to Twitch and claim them while they have the chance.

There is no news on what the next Prime Gaming drops for World of Warcraft will be. Maybe this will be Blizzard’s way of giving out retired cosmetics as it tries to get more people to check out the game. If that is the case, there are sure to be a lot more cosmetics coming to Prime Gaming, especially after Dragonflight launches later this year.

World of Warcraft is available now on PC.
