The Mists of Pandaria expansion was released in September 2012, meaning this year fans will be celebrating its tenth anniversary. The expansion was praised by many fans, bringing about a new player race to pick in the form of the Pandarans, and a new monk class for them to play. Perhaps something the Mists of Pandaria expansion is most famous for is its ability to allow a player to level up their character without defeating enemies, effectively creating a pacifist way to play World of Warcraft.

Something else that World of Warcraft players enjoyed about the Mists of Pandaria expansion was the farm that players could own in the game. The Tiller’s Farm was only available for those who owned the expansion, and completed the “Inherit the Earth” quest in order to gain ownership of their own farm. Once the farm was theirs, players could plant crops, and interact with flavorful World of Warcraft NPCs that roamed around Pandaria. For many it was pleasant to have a plot of land that belonged to them.

Despite how much players enjoyed having their own farm, it was a feature that didn’t really continue as expansions moved on. There were garrisons in Warlords of Draenor, though players found a garrison much less of a wholesome player home option. World of Warcraft fans took to Reddit to voice their wishes for a similar feature to appear in perhaps a new World of Warcraft expansion.

Currently, speculation is leading fans to believe that the latest expansion for World of Warcraft will likely be geared towards a dragon theme, yet this doesn’t mean that a player home option won’t appear with the expansion. There’s also the possibility of farms returning to World of Warcraft Classic, when that game catches up to the Mists of Pandaria expansion.

World of Warcraft is available on PC.
