Players who have played Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, or Battle for Azeroth should be well-acquainted with Wrathion. The morally-dubious young dragon has aided Azeroth since he was first hatched. World of Warcraft players who support Wrathion in his claim to the Obsidian Throne, and max out his reputation, will earn the Loyalty to the Prince achievement, which comes with the “Agent of the Black Prince” title.

Sabellian, on the other hand, is a face players have not seen since Burning Crusade. One of the last living direct children of Deathwing, Sabellian seemingly avoided the madness of his brethren by hiding in the broken world of Outland. Now, he has returned to Azeroth with a full brood of uncorrupted Black dragons and seeks to claim his birthright as the new aspect. Players who aid him can earn The Obsidian Bloodline achievement and the “Paragon of the Obsidian Brood” title.

Unlike previous competing reputation questlines, like the Aldor and Scryers in Burning Crusade or the Oracles and Wolvar in Wrath of the Lich King, a single character can actually support both Sabellian and Wrathion’s claims. Earning reputation with one does not preclude a character from earning reputation with the other. This means that with enough grinding, a single character can earn both of these achievements and titles, plus all the minions, toys, and other cosmetics each faction offers.

Many players are excited to be able to play a role in the future of the Black dragons in Dragonflight. Wrathion has been a fan-favorite character since his first appearance in Cataclysm, and Sabellian’s cult following was overjoyed to see the ancient dragon return in Dragonflight. Players are likewise glad they can still support both candidates on a single character. While a player could easily support the other candidate on an alt later, having the option to do so on the first one is much better.

World of Warcraft recently announced the end of the last Shadowlands PvP and Mythic+ season was coming on October 25. The date will almost certainly coincide with the Pre-Patch event for Dragonflight, which will run for the month until the expansion’s release. With the next era of World of Warcraft right around the corner, many players can’t wait to journey to the Dragon Isles to see what else is in store for them in Dragonflight.

World of Warcraft is available on PC. Dragonflight launches on November 28.
