This week marks the start of the special World Quest Bonus Event. Like most of WoW’s other events, this Legion-centric limited time opportunity will be available for just a few days before it rotates out. Reputation earned during the event is increased by 50% via the Sign of the Emissary, which means that it is a perfect opportunity gain Exalted with the new factions and complete some World Quest achievements with awesome rewards.
If you are fresh to max level (congrats), there are a couple things that you will need to take care of before getting started. To unlock World Quests, players need to reach Friendly reputation will all of the zones in The Broken Isles. This task happens pretty naturally while leveling through the new zones from 100-110, but many players need to do a little extra work in Suramar after hitting 110. We recommend setting your secondary experience bar to reputation while questing, so you can keep track of how close you are to friendly. Once this task is complete, players can visit Khadgar in Dalaran to accept the quest that unlocks World Quests.
To get started in the World Quest event players need to begin the The World Awaits quest. The quest can be picked up in Dalaran by Archmage Timear, but players should also be able to accept it through their Adventure Guide tab without visiting Dalaran. Once accepted, players can complete 20 World Quests throughout The Broken Isles to earn 5,000 Order Resources, which can be used to complete quests or upgrades at the Class Hall. Reputation will naturally rack up during these 20 quests thanks to the event bonus. Hitting exalted with each zone brings a bounty of rewards that include special toys, pets, and recipes.
With unconfirmed reports that there are 10 million subscribers playing Legion, it seems like WoW is back on track after a couple of rocky years. The MMO always sees a spike in activity after a new expansion launches, so it will be interesting to see how long players stay invested in Legion after hitting 110. The World Quests are certainly good motivation to log in, so things are off to a good start.
Will you be grinding out some gear, gold, and resources during the World Quest event? Let us know in the comments.
