Afghanistan will play to salvage some pride after enduring a disappointing tournament. In their last match, Afghanistan showed great fighting spirit against India as they came very close to sealing an unlikely victory. Their confident performance against a strong team like India would have lifted the morale of their players considerably. Afghanistan haven’t had the services of their star opener Mohammad Shahzad in the last few matches as he was ruled out of the tournament because of an injury....

After thrashing Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in their first game of the tournament, the Black Caps had a minor scare against Bangladesh but held on to win by two wickets. Post two wins, New Zealand completed a hat-trick of wins with a comfortable seven-wicket win against Afghanistan. Virat Kohli’s men will be riding high on confidence after wins against two big teams and with both batting and bowling units impressing, the Indian team seems to have ticked the right boxes as they head into a crucial encounter against New Zealand....

This event kicked off the controversial story arc for Sylvanas in Battle for Azeroth as her lust for power continued to take her down darker and darker paths until some splinter factions from within the Horde were forced to join forces with the Alliance to defeat their own War Chief. Some players feel that the eventual pact between the Alliance and the Horde to oust Sylvanas loyalists helped turn the expansion’s narrative around, but there are many who still feel the damage caused by destroying their starting zone can’t be undone....

World of Warcraft’s Eternity’s End patch will take players to the heart of creation within the First Ones realm of Zerith Mortis. There, they will confront the Anduin and the Jailer with the help of Uther, Sylvanas, Jaina, and others as they bring the saga of the Shadowlands to a conclusion once and for all. The Cataclysm has shattered the Greymane wall, and we find out that a terrible Worgen curse has taken hold of the Gilnean citizens. We not only find ourselves in the midst of a curse, but also a Forsaken invasion. With the help of the Night Elves the citizens of Gilneas manage to escape as well as find a partial cure that let’s them retain their ‘humanity’ while transformed. When you start out, you are a human fighting a civil war that quickly turns into the Worgen invasion, but escape from the cure is not possible, and you soon become something more than human… a cursed Worgen....

While some players may be excited to revisit Cataclysm, this re-release seems to miss the point of World of Warcraft Classic entirely. The three versions of WoW that have launched under the Classic banner all allow players to explore the original Azeroth before it was revamped through Cataclysm. This is a version of the world that no longer exists in the main game, and that is a major part of what makes World of Warcraft Classic so appealing....

On Friday, World of Warcraft’s lead game designer Russ Petersen, also known as Nite Moogle, announced that he was working his final day at Blizzard. Conceptually speaking, Oribos had plenty of good ideas going for it. A compact, circular hub that took the best of Ironforge and the Shrines in Mists of Pandaria, but it lacked a key ingredient: it had no soul whatsoever. It wasn’t a city of the Realm of Death – it was just an airport made for players to ferry them across the five Shadowlands zones.
