With the Quarterfinal fixtures now announced, it’s time to take a look back at some of the players who could have done so much more to help their nation’s cause. With Spain and Argentina being the major upsets and the other losing teams putting in a great fight for a Top-eight spot, it really comes down to tactics that didn’t work, players that underperformed and hard luck. Following are five players who could have helped their teams have a better outcome, had a better personal campaign and for some a shot at ultimate glory....

Of the 44 clubs teams still represented in the World Cup, it is Tottenham Hotspur who have the most remaining with a huge and surprising nine players! Spurs enjoyed an excellent season in the Premier League, finishing third and qualifying for the Champions League with this form carrying over into the World Cup for many of their players. English teams dominate the clubs still represented at the tournament with Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City all tied in second place with seven players apiece....

Germany is the reigning World Cup champion, sure, but star midfielder Toni Kroos also has declared the 2018 team is “maybe even better” than 2014, particularly when it comes to its work on the ball. But Chris Gayle played with positive intent, putting pressure on the England bowlers, while Shai Hope struggled to time the ball. At the end of 10 overs, West Indies were 41 for 1. Liam Plunkett struck by dismissing Gayle for 36, after he and Hope had added 50 runs for the 2nd wicket....

Both are unbeaten in the tournament so far. With rain predicted on match day, a curtailed game might be on the cards. The venue of the match - Trent Bridge - generally produces a flat wicket, but as the pitch has remained under covers (due to bad weather), there will be some assistance for the fast bowlers. For the past few expansions, several weekly emissaries have awarded a cache that grants one random item from the current raid tier. While most of these quests require timewalking through older dungeons, a single one involves completing current Mythic-level dungeons. Shadowlands has only been out for three weeks, but the new emissary-requiring mythic dungeons will give an item level (ilvl) 213 Castle Nathria item to anyone that completes it....

While World of Warcraft Classic’s release date may be a bit later in summer than some Alliance and Horde members were anticipating, Blizzard’s got a good reason for the late August launch. Blizzard is planning a robust round of testing for World of Warcraft Classic before it goes live. Relaunching a 15-year-old MMO is no simple matter, after all, especially with all of the new technology Blizzard is building into the game where players can’t see it....

In a post made on the official World of Warcraft forums, Blizzard community manager Kaivax confirmed that the server cap would be substantially increased. “We expect this to result in smaller queues for realms that have large queues, and some realms should no longer have queues at all.” These changes were made to World of Warcraft Classic servers via hotfix and have already gone live across all servers. Sometimes, and perhaps especially so for a game whose story had been as long-lived as the World of Warcraft saga has been, it is not surprising to find storytelling patterns within the game’s overall narrative – arcs and themes that show up in one expansion, that eventually get referenced and concluded in another. Perhaps the most obvious example is World of Warcraft: Legion finally wrapping up the plotline of Sargeras and his demon generals introduced in Warcraft 3....

The Command Table was first introduced in Warlords of Draenor as a part of the Garrison feature. It returned in some fashion in every expansion since then, with the Order Halls in Legion, the warfront in Battle for Azeroth, and the Covenants in Shadowlands. However, World of Warcraft fan and Redditor ScorpHunter pointed out that Dragonflight doesn’t have an equivalent to the Command Table. This was no surprise to anyone, of course; the absence of a Command Table was advertised soon after Dragonflight launched....
